She also works with researchers to coordinate in-house testing and sequencing of submitted samples and libraries. Dr. Kelly leads the quality management program under CAP and CLIA guidelines.

Dr. Kelly has over 13 years of experience in the clinical molecular laboratory testing environment working in clinical labs at UPMC, in addition to her years working in research labs at Duquesne University and University of Pittsburgh. In her roles before working at the HTGC, Dr. Kelly worked on development teams and performed routine molecular testing including traditional Sanger sequencing, real-time PCR, microarray, and fragment analysis. She also worked to implement new next-generation sequencing assays for clinical tests at UPMC.
